Texas Instrument’s profit better than expected
In this time of recession, the quarterly profit of Texas Instruments came as a breadth of fresh air. Texas Instruments results turned out to be even better than expected. But still the firm was wary to declare that the economic troubles are over as well as the troubles for the demand for its chips.

The chips of Texas Instruments are used in televisions, cell phones etc. The company gave a forecast for the revenue in the current quarter. The forecast indicated that the visibility was still poor and holiday sales aren’t likely to pick up due to the high unemployment.
According the chief Financial Officer of Texas Instruments, Kevin March, the firm should be prepared for little growth or no growth for some time. Kevin admitted that demand is still low as compared to where it was before the start of recession. But the he chief said that there was growth in Asian markets. One of the analyst said that the numbers were good and solid but one possible negative can be the wide revenue range signals indicating that the visibility is still not improving. But still TI has performed better than industry expectation which is a sigh of relief.
