Obama’s stimulus plan saved and created 650,000 jobs
White House recently declared that President Obama’s stimulus plan has helped save and create around 650,000 jobs and thus, has brought them closer to meet their goal of 3.5 million by the end of 2010.
Statistics about jobs were revealed by businesses, contractors, non-profit groups, universities and government to show that the stimulus was responsible for 640,329 jobs. Out of all these jobs, around 350,000 were related to education employees including teachers. This is mainly because of low budget cuts in education despite the crisis.

Despite this good news, a lot of people are a little skeptical. Many do not believe that the government is being completely honest. If you want to keep track of the recovery from economic crisis, you can visit US government’s official website especially dedicated to inform the population about the recovery.
It has been noted that there is a possibility that data might not be entirely accurate because some contractors, when entering the information about the jobs created or saved, included the same job in several different categories causing the same jobs to be counted multiple times.
Despite the inaccuracy, this is a sign that the economy is moving in the right direction.
